Thank you for selecting the Willoughby Community Hall as the venue for your event! We pride ourselves on simplicity, which is why we’ve gathered all the necessary information and resources on this page to make the booking and setup process as smooth as possible for you. It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3…
Check the Availability Calendar then use our Contact Us form or send us an email with the date and time you would like to book the hall.
Once we have received your request, we will contact you to confirm the date and time, arrange an appointment to view the hall, sign an agreement and secure the date. We accept cash or cheque.
On the day of your event, we will have the Hall all ready to go for you. Refer to your renters agreement for important information.
Your cleaning responsibilities after your event include restacking tables and chairs as directed, dry mop of complete hall and kitchen floor, and taking all garbage home. Don’t forget to turn off the lights, lock all doors and windows when leaving”.
As per our rental agreement, if serving alcohol, we require $5 million Liability Insurance and $2 million without alcohol. Please add “Willoughby Community Hall” as “Additional Insured”
If yes, then you need to obtain a liquor license by contacting the BC Liquor Control Board. In the dedicated bar section of our hall, there is a bulletin board where you will be required to post your license.
If music is being played at your event, we are obligated to collect a fee from you and submit it to SOCAN (Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada) on your behalf.
We accept cash or cheques payable to “Willoughby Community Hall Society” as payment for the damage deposit and rental fee.
